Well Read Queers

Queer Book Club wants to create a welcoming and inclusive space for members of the local LGBTQIA+ community to come together and chat about a diverse range of books that reflect our experiences and identities. We believe that by reading and sharing stories, we can deepen our understanding of the queer experience and build connections with one another. Our hope is to foster a community that celebrates and amplifies queer voices and literature, and creates a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Together, we aim to expand our knowledge, challenge our perspectives, and grow as individuals and as a community.

Information for all chapters

Each chapter has a lead who helps support the values of Queer Book Club.

We ask that all members

  • Respect and value we're of all ages and backgrounds.

  • Respect the pronouns of members.

  • Your fellow book club members want to hear your opinion — but they also want to hear everyone else’s.  Don’t interrupt or dominate the discussion.

  • You can disagree with someone, but always do so respectfully.  Ask questions.  Avoid personal attacks.  And keep an open mind.
